How We Met
The Lums were referred through a special connection:
Libin was the old primary school classmate of Mr. Lum’s daughter—someone the family had known for almost 30 years.
When the question of selling the flat came up, his daughter immediately suggested:
“Let’s ask my old classmate, she’s a property agent.”
The introduction led to a first meeting, and that first impression stayed with him.
“When I saw her, I knew she was a good person. I could trust her.”
That trust became the foundation of everything that followed.
Preparing the Flat for Sale
The 5-room flat held many years of memories, but it needed renovation and preparation before marketing.
When Mr. Lum realized how much work it would involve, he said simply:
“I don’t have time. You arrange everything.”
And so, we did.
-
Coordinating the makeover
-
Managing timelines
-
Preparing the home for viewings
-
Handling every detail so they wouldn’t feel overwhelmed
Because he trusted the process, he didn’t need to worry.
“If you have faith in an agent, just let her handle it. She will arrange everything.”
Achieving His Retirement Plan
For more than 25 years, Mr. Lum had a clear plan:
Buy a 5-room flat → pay off the loan → sell it → fund retirement.
His friends doubted him back then.
They said a 5-room flat was too expensive.
They said $2,000+ a month was too much.
But he stayed disciplined.
No smoking, no drinking, planned for the long term.
And the plan worked.
Their flat was sold smoothly, at a price he was satisfied with, allowing the couple to move comfortably into their new 2-room Flexi BTO—exactly as he had envisioned decades ago.
A Relationship Built on Trust
From the very first meeting, Mr. Lum felt at ease.
He shared openly that when he saw Libin, he immediately felt she was “a good person” — someone he could trust with such an important decision. That trust made it easy for him to let her handle everything, including coordinating the renovation, preparing the house for sale, and managing the timeline.
“I had 100% faith in her. Everything was arranged by her because I didn’t have the time.”
Everything moved smoothly not because of pressure, but because of confidence.
The relationship was built on sincerity, respect, and the feeling that she understood what he needed.
A Grateful Ending to a New Beginning
Even after the sale, their connection didn’t end there.
Mr. Lum appreciated the small gestures — the check-ins after they collected the keys to their new 2-room Flexi BTO, the simple question of “How are you settling in?” These weren’t part of a transaction; they were part of genuine care.
To him, that meant everything.
He was grateful enough to introduce friends to Libin simply because he trusted that they would be in good hands.
“When you meet her, you will feel at ease. My agent will try her best to help you sell your house.”
For the Lums, this wasn’t just selling and buying.
It was the closing of a chapter, the start of a peaceful retirement, and a journey supported by someone they sincerely trusted.
